Comeback Queen?

I decided to light a few candles tonight, to purify the scent of my abode... and I managed to spill a huge spot of wax on the carpet in my hallway!  In plain view, no chance of me hiding that!
I decided to try the "iron a rag over the wax spot" trick, and WOWZERS!!! it worked like a charm!!!  You'd never know where I spilt the wax!!! :wink:

PS... KK, guess who I saw today?  (I had to laugh when I saw him.)  JAMES, from AGS.   He was with a woman, holding her hand.  (Seems that he's caught himself another victim!  lol)  What a tool he was!  (He still had extremely BAD hair! :roll: )

Yes, it's already Wednesday, and the sun finally decided to grace us with it's presence! :D

I got a call from my new boss that he wants me to move to their floor without my equipment, for the first week... :(  So I guess my plans are foiled yet again!   Oh well, it is the date that we originally planned on me leaving, so there should reallly be no problem.  I'm too concerned about my present group... I don't know why.  It turns out my boss didn't even contact my NEW boss regarding changing my move date and now he's one on holidays! :?   He obviously didn't want to keep me here that badly... I think that was just lip service!  (and I'm almost positive I'll be leaving the group without a farewell party... what a nice way to feel important! ... NOT  :x )  My group has more issues than I thought, I'm actually glad I'm moving on. 
Greener pastures, here I come! :) 
(My new group has already spoke about a feild trip to Montana!!  To which I'm invited :D )

I get this email from the Office Services Moving people saying that there are too many people scheduled to move on July 6th (when I was supposed to officially start my new job) so i've been bumped back to July 13th. 
So, it's all working out fine!  My present group gets me for another week, and I don't have to be so stressed out about taking this Thursday off! :D
I love when things just work out! :)

We had fun dancing at the Whiskey... our usual hangout on a Saturday night.  Good times, but damn my head hurt in the morning!

I knew that ride would kick my ass!  And, did it ever!!!! (I think I actually started hyperventallating (crying, but trying to force myself NOT to cry) at one point!  I was so tired and my legs were so burnt out, but Ron would not stop for longer than 20 seconds at a time, and I don't even think we stopped more than 8 times!  Brutal!) 
Not my idea of a fun ride.  We started with Fullerton Loop (12km) this one was neat, cause we got to see a lot of the devistation done by the recent flooding in K-Country (I wish I had my camera, the water actually chewed up roads and left deposits of gravel and silt EVERYWHERE in this one camp ground!)  Then on our way back to the car, after that 12km, decent ride... my friend Ron goes "So, do you want to do Sulphur Springs trail now?" :?

"Uh... NO!"  Is my reply!  My legs at that point where they were just  burnt out!  I don't know, there was something wrong either with me or my bike because boy, was it hard pushing up hills yesterday!  It felt like my front tire was being held back by something, so I had to work double time to get it to rotate at all!!!
We did end up attempting Sulphur Springs... we rode 6 km in and I think both me and Ryan ("the Mule") were done!  So Ron made the executive decision to go back, the way we came.  Thank God... it was mostly downhill.  I rock on the downhills.  (My new nickname is "Velvet" cause I am smooth and have good speed on my descents! :) ) 
We got back to the parking lot, my speedometer registered 24km in total!  Holy crap!!!   No wonder I was go bagged!!!  Honestly, that's the longest ride I've done in a long time.

I'm a bit sore and tired still today.  I had a jetted tub last night, you should have seen the FILTH that came off of me!!!  Eek!  lol

Finally, tonight after work, we are going for a REAL mountain bike ride!  I'm so pumped!
It will be me, Bryanne, "the Mule" (Ryan), and Ron. (2 guys from work, don't get any ideas)

The weather looks amazing, it's supposed to get up to +18oC today... as long as it doesn't rain this afternoon we are going to have a fun ride!

Got a parking ticket today -$20 (I couldn't find change for the meter)

The deal on my house is FIRM!  :D 
The people who bought my house had a home inspection done yeserday and that was the final condition onthe sale of my house.  So it's official, MY HOUSE IS SOLD!!!!!

Today is my inspection of the condo I've conditionally bought.  Unless we find something TERRIBLY wrong with it, the sale will also firm up today!

Then it's time to start looking for new appliances and to go to Home Depot looking for new flooring to put in!!!  And I need to find some contractors to install it all too!!!  I have a lot of things to get to once this deal is closed!  (But I'm so excited!) :)

Take the week off WITH pay!  :)  Yup, that's what they told me! I was like, "There must be a mistake"  And my HR girl said "Well, unless you haven't been keeping track of your vacation and flex time, you have 68 hours (8.5 days) of vacation that needs to be taken before the end of June of else you forfeit it!  :?

"Really?" ... no way! ...there must be a mistake.  According to my books, I only have a week of holidays (which I am entitled to carry forward) left.  But hey, if they want to GIVE me more holidays... I'm not complaining! :D

Once I get settled, west coast, here I come!!! :D :D :D

Today, my sister and her family are off to Vancouver to bring their newest member to the family, baby Nolan, to the Children's Hospital for surgery.

Nolan was born on February 24th, 2005 and was diagnosed with sagital synostosis.  His surgery is tomorrow, July 21st, 2005.

My prayers and thoughts are with you, Jen and Ken, for Nolan to get through this without a hitch!  I have faith in the doctors at the Children's Hospital... you are in good hands!

I own a condo!!!  :)

I have to sign the paperwork today, but we came to a deal on it yesterday!  (WOW, that was fast... I never thought I'd find something so soon!)  My stress levels have gone from "through the roof" back to "normal". :)

This month has been so stressful... good and bad stress combined!  I am really happy all the deals are done!  My deals have been very friendly, which has been great!

I'm planning on doing some renos before I move in: putting some laminate floor down, putting in a new jetted tub, maybe tiling the floor in the ensuite. :D  All these custom renos are making me feel really good about my purchase!

I got an offer on my house last night and after a few counter offers, 
we made a deal! :)  ( :? )

I should be&nbs p;happy about this, right?  I have this weird feeling about the whole situation.  (This morning I woke up early and just sat there, looking at the walls... the walls that are no longer mine :(  )  I'm feeling a little displaced now... as much as I wanted out of the place, I know I'm gonna be sad to leave it :( 
Now the hunt is on to find me a new place!

Do you ever feel like everthing is in a state of confusion and you have no idea where to even start to make it all calm down?

I am beginning to feel very stressed out about everything going on in my life... :(

We finally have a nice day, and of course I have crap to do that's inside all night :(  Bah! I think I will cancel it all and just go home, strap on my blades and go for a rip! 
It's been over 2 weeks (or so it feels like) since I've been on either my mountain bike or my roller blades and I'm starting to go insain!!!  Granted, I haven't been doing nothing... I've been working out at the gym during that time, but I miss my SUMMER!!!  I live for outdoor activities!

It's supposed to be nice for the next 2 days... but I'm not holding my breathe!!!

the condos we saw today did not float my boat :(  the one that the jerk lives in smells of smoke :(  and wasn't really that spectacular (for the price, I didn't think) and the second one didn't even come with a garage!  Screw that!!!  (and it had a loft style bedroom... no privacy, eek!)

Back to the drawing board I guess.  I will focus on getting my place sold first!

I ended up having 3 showings this weekend for my house!  :D  That's exciting!!!

When is it going to STOP raining???

My GOD! :o  This is honestly ridiculous!  I can't live like this!!!  Today I was out with my friend Jenn and it started to rain about 30 minutes after we left her house.  by the time we got back, her street was FLOODED and she couldn't even pull in to her driveway!  I took pictures with her digital camera, I'll have to get her to send me some.  It looked like a LAKE in her front yard, and people were trying to drive through it!  (Like the DUMBASSES they are!!!)  Everytime someone would drive through it, a huge wave would come higher and higher onto Jenn's driveway! :?  Eek!  It was pretty scary!  After a few calls, finally the city came out to do something about it!  They got all the drains working and the lake finally went down!  Phew!

In the meantime, Jenn suggested we watch a movie.  She selected "Bridges over Madison County"... OMG, what an enotional movie!!!&n bsp; I couldn't help but cry! :cry:  I'm such a suck... but at the end both Jenn and I were bauling... awe!  We are total chicks!  lol

Fingers crossed for no rain tomorrow!!!!!

My real estated agent posted my house on MLS.ca last night, and we already have a showing booked for 12:30 :D

Wow they work fast!!!

"Jessica, that  hair-do makes you look 20 years younger!"  (so does this mean I now look 8, or that yesterday I looked 48? :? )

"You look smart and sophisticated.  Like you are from Montreal"  (really?  so this hair cut makes me look French??? ... and what the hell, did I look dumb and unsophisticated yesterday?)

"I love the hair!"  Me too :D

Actually, it just felt like someone else's bed... it's amazing what a new duvet and sheets can do!
My friend Jenn has stepped up to help me organize my house and make it "list worthy".  (Putting it up on the market)  I gave her the artistic lisence to decorate as she sees fit (because, let's face it... I just have no clue (or desire) about how to decorate rooms!)  Jenn has a knack!  I felt like I was on Trading Spaces... when I came home from work and walked into my 'new' bedroom, you should have seen my face!  :o
I literally started jumping up and down!  :D
It even smells like someone else's room.

1.) the new position, I'm pretty sure I'll take it!   Sounds like a great opportunity to learn some new skills and maybe meet some new great people in the process.

2.) the house, I'm listing is this week!  My real estate agent (and friend) is at my house as we speak ship shaping it up.  I'm paying her to clean and organize the place for me! (she actually likes to clean... She's is sick, I tell ya!  lol)

3.) well, ok, not everything gave.  My car is still working (minus brake lights however :? )  I think I have decided I want a 2002 Honda CRV.  Comments?

PS... class today went awesome!  I was pretty nervous during the warmup... I had a lot to think about, but once we got rolling, it was a piece of cake!  :)

I went to the gym today, mostly because I wanted to practice my choreography for the new
Group POWER (aka Body PUMP) release
and Rhonda, the instructor, asked me if I could fill in for the abs and cool down tracks as she had some cramming to do for her Group STEP class (right to follow).  Eventhough I didn't know the choreography completely, I agreed...  Sometimes you just gotta throw yourself into it, and expect that you will do a good job. 
:? Well, I didn't exactly remember all the choreography, or the order it was suposed to be in... but I ad-libbed and got through to the last note of the stretch.  Hooray for me!!! :D  Now it's back to studying so I don't royally screw up tomorrow when I teach the entire class alone!!! :P

This was me last night.  I got to wear the other top I bought for going out in finally!  It's really cute!  And I hated my hair, so I made it curly and put it up... what do you think?  (either way, it's still getting CHOPPED on Wednesday!)

In other news, my house alarm went off last night :shock: at 3am!  Me being half asleep ran downstairs to shut it off!  YIKES!  What if there had have been a burgular there???  I can't wait to get out of this BIG, lonely place!!!  I still have no idea what set the alarm off at that time?!?!?  WEIRD, and freaky!

See... I knew I shouldn't have said anything about the guy... My friends are telling me he's a bit freaky!  :?  (I explained to them what he's said to me in MSN chats, and they didn't approve!)

Why is this so difficult?

In better news, I'm going out club hopping tonight with Bryanne and Cindy.  To Ceili's Pub for a drink and to see my friend Rita who's in town... then to check out "My Apartment"... just to see what it's all about.  And finally heading to my stand-by dance hall "The Whiskey" to finish off the night dancing with Diane, Bonnie, Hope and Phil!  YAY!
And I even have a new top to wear!  :)  too bad my haircut wasn't today!

My friend, Bryanne... I love her to bits. 
She and I became fast friends as soon as we met.
She went away for a month to Ireland, and recently got back.  We planned a night out together to catch up.  She had just got her hair cut yesterday, and was looking completely foxy, as only Braynne can.  So, we were talking about hair, and she says to me:
"Yeah, your do is looking a little bit Soccer Mom-ish"  :?

...after that comment, I booked the next avaliable appointment with my hair stylist.  This frumpy mop has got to go.

Stress #3. My job... I've been approached by another buisness unit within my company to switch to their group. 
They are looking for a highly qualified, technical person and I was recommended to them by the guy who's position is looking to be filled (we went to school together).  This is not a bad stress... but more that I absolutely love the group I work with now, and the thought of leaving this... makes me sad.  (I actually cried about this this morning.)  What would you do?  Change isn't always a bad thing, right?  After 3 years, don't I need some career development?  Why am I so emotional?  I will potentially be making a bit more cash as well I can push to be made a "senior geological technologist".
