Comeback Queen?

A friend offered me a pass to join her for a spin class at the Westside Rec Center here in Cow-town... I figured, sure!  I love to "borrow" other spin instructors cues, and music :wink:

Well, all I can say is the instructor lacks that certain something.  She was pretty boring, and made even spinning a drag (I love spinning, but I couldn't put my finger on why I just had no motivation to push the pedals!?)  Maybe I was really tired?  Or maybe her drills were just kinda lame!?! (Being a spin instructor myself, I know a thing or two about how the class SHOULD go and feel.)  But oh well...  I did sweat, so that's kinda the most important thing!  :)

Tonight on the agenda: Ladies night at the "W"!!!  :P

that's me today... I thought I was all ready to go, but silly me, I left my lunch (all packed with love) at home on the counter this morning!  :(  Grrr.... and it had my favorite VEGGIE PIZZA in it too!!!   DAMN! :evil:
Oh well... I haven't had OPA in a while (greek food) so I spluged on it for my lunch today.  OMG... it's yuummmmmmy! :P

The entrepreneur part comes in last night... I taught another one of my beading classes.  Last night was the BEADAZZLING BEADED PENDANT (nice name, hey?  Suzin from the bead store came up with it!)  Anyways... all it is is a pendant made of 20 Swarovski Crystal beads.   You wouldn't think people would walk away from that class spending very much money, right???  WRONG!!!  I think everyone in the class made at least 3 pendants!!!   And remember, Swarovski beads aren't cheap... the beads I taught with ranged from $0.85 to $1.00 each! (You do the math!!!)

I don't think anyone  (even the little 13 year old girl I had in class) left without spending an average of $75.00!!! :shock:  Suzin was very, very pleased!!! :D  She wants me to make another sample, this time putting the pendant into a braclet (I'll be sure to take a picture of it once it's completed... it's going to be absolutely gorgeous!)  The more interest in the class, the more crystals Suzin can sell! :)  And the more people I get in my class means I get paid more too :D

... so, if I have to claim my income for teaching these classes on my taxes, does that mean I can write off some of my beads??? Hmmm.... there's an idea :wink:

So, back on task... I need to ask a favor.  I need names of good, uptempo (or just classics) Rock and Roll songs... some examples are Steppen Wolf - Magic Carpet Ride, GnR - Paradise City....
Please, can you help me with some more oldies but goodies???  I am a complete Classic rock retard... it's just not my thing.  But I need these songs to add to my spin classes.

Yes, it is true... the devil is disguised as baked goods!  LOL (that's what my friend KreavitveKat tells me, anyways!) 
I have been dreaming about these cupcakes ever since the E-ONE party.  They served up cupcakes at the party, at the end of the evening... of the "two-bite" variety... and DAMN they were good!  (But was it the booze induced state that I was in that would make anything taste good???)  I had to find where I could buy some more of these cupcakes and try them out sober!

I recently found out they were catered by a man who works for E.'s wife.  Her company is called Crave Cookies and Cupcakes. 
Oh My Goodness... the BEST cupcake icing in the world BY FAR!!!  They also use very colorful icing and names for their creations:

Dirty Blonde: White cupcake with chocolate icing
Nuts over Chocolate: Peanut butter icing on a chocolate cupcake
Princess: white cupcake with strawberry icing

All I can say is YUM!  I only had to eat one tonight and I have had my share of sugar for a WEEK I'm sure!!! :wink:  But soooo worth it! :D

A good friend 'S' came for a visit!  (She just recently had "the talk" with her boyfriend, yet she is still living with him... hence her NEED to get the hell outta there for a while!)
She came bearing 3 bottles of her Dad's famous home-made wine!  :D  Good times, good times!
I went to bed last night a little bit tipsy, for sure...  that Saskatoon Berry Wine knocked us both out!!! :P

OMG... Have I told you how much I HATE TAX time??? :evil:

I hate this more than anything in the world!!! (I think I need to marry a guy that loves to do the money management, because I get absolutely FRUSTRATED when it comes time to doing this $#!% !!!)  Either that, or I need to PAY someone to take care of my finances for me...

A friend (B.) came over last night and I dyed her hair black!  I have never used a dye so dark before!  The color came out of the tube purple! :?  (That was a little strange!!)

It turned out great!!!  Now I want to go black!  :P

I get that a lot lately.  I have recently started eating better; more fresh veggies, salads, and protiens... less snacking and sugars and NO MORE pasta!!!
The scale only shows a weight loss of like 3 pounds... but it must be noticeable!!!  :D
Tonight I went for a run with Bryanne, and she asked me that!

I should just accept the compliment and say "Yes, I have, actually!!!"  I don't know why I always try to justify their statements!?

Ok, ok... why does this always happen when I think I'm finally where I want to be with my fitness/body weight...

As I sat down in my seat on the bus this morning I heard a "ripppp"... which kinda sounded like velcro rubbing together, so I didn't think much of it because I often wear pants with velcro on them.  But this time, I was really wrong!  :shock:

I heard the noise again this afternoon, so I decided to take a closer inspection to where the sound was coming from (because I realized that the pants I'm wearing don't HAVE any velcro on them :? ) Turns out the fly of these pants is slowly ripping... downward... towards my crotch!  :o  OMG.... how many people noticed my underwear showing???  Gah.... how humiliating! (At least they aren't the pink or red ones :P)

I have a sweater tied around my waist now... I just want to go home and change!!!

I'm blaming it the fact that these are an OLD pair of pants... cause clearly, I'm not getting fat!  LOL :? (Or am I?)

It was brought to my attention by the "tblog fan boys" that I have a fan club. (a bunch of perverted teenaged boys, I'm sure :roll: )

Well... I must say, the party was pretty elaborate.  They mad e sure this party was done in style.

Let me describe...
first of all we get loaded onto buses at specific locations around the city.  We had to wait in a line-up at our location... there were SO MANY PEOPLE attending this party! (over 5000 just in Calgary! :shock: ) We all got name tags on the bus and away they went... to take us to the "secret location".  We drove not even for 5 mintues and we were there!  (I had a feeling it would be close to our bus stop.)  There was a HUGE tent erected on the old army barracks.   When we got in, we were greeted by 2 people handing out our "free gift"! :)  It was a solid gold pin with the company logo on it.  It is nice!  As we walked in, all these servers carrying trays of food (mostly sushi) were asking us, "Would you like some?"  (If I ate sushi I would have been in heaven...) we passed and made our way to the bathroom (which were port-o-potties, in another tent... that was the worst part!  Oh well, I delt!)

The more we wandered around the more things we noticed.  There were little lounges in every corner, complete with couches and pillows.  The booze was FREE all night, so we kept the drinks coming.  They even had these crazy ice cubes that light up, so everyone's drink was glowing!  That was super cool!  (I got home with 12 cubes :)  I love things that sparkle  or flash! (I'm a raven, no doubt about it! :wink: )

The only downer of the night, is that I was told the bands playing were gonna be The Guess Who (which I really wasn't too thrilled about) and Nickleback (which I was really looking forward to)!  Well, the Guess Who came out, played their set... everyone was bopping.  (I felt like I was in a beer commercial... seems like all their songs are catchy like that!)  Then we got a live satellite feed from Denver (where another E... One Party was being held) and we got to watch a little bit of the Barenaked Ladies performance there!  (Lucky people in Denver, I would have loved to see the BNL again!  They are cool dudes!)  And finally the, I'll call them the "Filler Band" came out, and played their little hearts out... as many cover songs as you could handle. 
OK... but WHERE THE HELL WAS NICKLEBACK?  I was told they were going to play for us... Booooo....  So as far as the entertainment went, it could have been better. 

But the venue rocked!  And I have to say, my company rules!  To throw a party of this magnitude for all of their employees.... that's just awesome!

Maybe I shouldn't write so much in here... some people are busy-bodies always tring to get other people in trouble! :evil:

As it was Diane's birthday on April 2nd (last saturday) I wanted to take her out for a birthday dinner!  So, last night I took her to the Broken Plate, a Greek restaurant in a quaint part of Calgary called Kensington.  Mmmmmm.... so good!  We started with some appies; Saganaki (gotta love deep fried cheese!) and kopanisto with pita!  (So very good!!!)  My meal was chicken souvlaki, Diane got the halibut.   We were both very stuffed after that meal!!!  That meal was definitely NOT on my diet... but so very good!  You have to treat yourself sometimes, right?  (I really wanted dessert... but how can I justify that after what I just ate!?!  Needless to say, I left without ordering the baklava! :wink:)

2 more sleeps till ONE!  :)

I asked my friend Diane (from Saturday night) to come with me to ONE, and she said "Absolutely!"

Yay... I have a date!  And everyone knows that  2 hot, single women is a dangerous pair! :wink:

My company has planned a big corporate party (they are calling it "E... ONE").  It is to be held this Friday between 6:30pm and 1am the next morning.
The thing is they have given us NO details about the venue, other than you CANNOT drive there as there will be no personal traffic allowed.  We have to take a chartered bus to the party local, that is when we will get further details as the party unfolds. 

Cool, eh?

I have invited Bryanne as my guest... but not sure if she'll make it yet.  I can't go to this thing alone!  :(

I was called on to sub a Body Pump class today.  Despite my very tired quads, I said "Yes".  I'm such a push-over! :lol:

Off to eat my lunch!  :)  Chicken taco salad!  YUMMERS! :P

CanFitPro certification course, done!  YAY!  We had to teach a mini class today... it wasn't easy. I am not much of a Step or Hi/Lo instructor... so I have a lot of things to learn!  Terminology and cueing were tough ones... I'm also so used to haveing pre-choreography. (Body Pump) I guess I'm just not used to thinking that much in a class! :wink:
I'm sure with time I'll be an ok step instructor, but it's still not my forte.

Went out for a birthday drink with Diane (a friend I met from the gym, who is in training to teach Body Pump classes too) and her friends last night.  Turned out to be more fun than I thought.  One of her friends, Charlie and I talked pretty much all night. (She told me at the beginning of the night that she had just met Charlie and that he was one of her LAVA LIFE friends... :? I was a bit skeptical at first... but he turned out to be really cool... and cute!)  I figured Diane was trying to "hook up" with him, so I didn't flirt with him (much :wink:)  I did, however give him my business card (and he asked for "some sugar"... (a hug) before I left.)  Was that appropriate?

So, if I can get my Thursday class covered, we are heading out to the mountains for one last (or maybe not last) SKI at Sunshine!  I haven't been on my board in too long!  Gotta get more boarding in before the snow says "ADIOS AMIGOS!!!" lol

Did I tell you how much I love fitness?  Well, if I didn't yet, I am now!

I LOVE FITNESS!

I am taking my CanFitPro Certification course this weekend. (all weekend!  Tonight, tomorrow all day, and Sunday all day!)  I wasn't really looking forward to it at first, I was kinda bummed that it took up my entire weekend... but as soon as I got there, and we started talking about fitness (the benefits, why we do it, why everyone should do it, etc...) I was like "Why did I think this was gonna suck?  This RULES!"  :D

I guess, the reason I'm so passionate about fitness is because I've seen what staying active and being healthy can do for me physically and mentally and I LOVE the results!  "It's like an addictive chemical I crave fort-nightly!"  (Anyone remember that line?  {Mike Myers})
I now LOVE to share my story and the experience with others! 
(I'm like a JW, only I push Fitness, not "the Bible"!  LOL)

Wouldn't you rather me show up at your door on a Saturday afternoon?
