Comeback Queen?

I'm having a tired week... not doing anything physical all Easter weekend has really made getting back into the gym swing of things a challenge!  Tired and stiff in the mornings, not my favorite 2 feelings :(

Hey!  Another week half way over!  Time flies!!!  Can you believe it's already March 30th??? :o WOW... seems like only yesterday I was celebrating New Year's!

I have to tell you about my weekend though. 
We went to the bar on Friday night... that was supposed to be the "BIG DRUNK" night.  I didn't even manage to get tipsy, despite all the alcohol and jello-shooters I consumed. :?  Raeleen, on the other hand, DID!  Let's just say Friday night was a GONG-SHOW... and Raeleen was the star!  HA HA!  I didn't really enjoy the bar at all... and we got home at midnight because Raeleen was so smashed!!!

Raeleen was one hurting unit in the morning on Saturday... she didn't want to do much but eat hangover food and watch movies.  So that night, since I didn't really enjoy the bar either, we decided to just stay in and play board games.  Damon invited one of his friend, Brian, to come over for a few drinks that night... And this is when it all started!  When Brian got to Raeleen's place, I took one look at him and said "Hot DAMN, Is this guy single??" (he looked more like Joey from NKOTB... very cute, big blue eyes!) He is.  Infact, he recently dumped his crazy ex because of "personal reasons".  (He wouldn't really elaborated, but we do know that she's the shooter girl at the bar, and he did make some comment about "Go ask her for a hooter shooter!"... She must have stepped over the line!)  So anyways, Rae and I kept playing our game (Scrabble!  Wooot!) but the guys were all gung ho to go to the bar.  They pryed and pryed to get us to go.  Rae said "I'll go if Jessica goes."  I kept saying "NO!".  I really didn't want to go... it was SOOO smoky there the night before, and I didn't feel like getting all dolled up for NO ONE (it was slim pickin's at the Cold Lake bar, trust me!  But, in hind sight, I really should have gone!!!  I think Brian really wanted to get to know me!  He could have always stayed to play Scrabble though ...hmmp)  Finally the guys decide to leave without us... but on their way out Brian turns to me and says "Jessica! "  I look at him... he continues "Remind me to tell our kids how stubborn their mother was on the first day I met her!" :shock: OMG... that has got to be the BEST line I think I have ever heard... and it was used on ME!!! :D  (He was a real charmer... calling all the ladies "Sweetheart".... Awe... a good ole' Eastern Boy; Cape Bretton to be exact)  How could I not MELT after a line like that... so I ran outside to yell back "You complete ME! " (Jerry McGuire) to be funny but they had already pulled away!  :(  I missed my chance!  Rats!

PARTY!  It's an Easter Party!

The weather looks great, I'm heading out on my 6-7 hour drive to see Raeleen now.  Not looking forward to the drive, but that's what the iPod is for :wink:

It's gonna be fun times!  Rae and I have been best friends for 17 years!  Can you believe it!!!???  I barely can!   We've been through a lot together too... seen each other at our bests and worsts... but we've got this bond that holds us together!

What???  Grrrr.... I think that someone changed the schedule on me without my knowledge, because I was hit (AGAIN) with the "You are teaching spin today, right?" ... :? Uhh.... no!  I am scheduled to teach Body Pump tonight at 6:30pm .... But sure enough, I check the schedule and see my name right there beside 12:05pm Pace.

Aggggghhhh.... what a LONG day today is going to be!  I was not prepared to teach 2 classes... (luckily I always carry a spare set of gym change!)

I was getting dressed today, and I put on a pair of cargo pants that I ALWAYS wear (that fit me PERFECT) and they were LOOSE today :?

I thought, "Hey... an opportunity to wear my skinny pants".... So I pulled out a pair of dress pants that were too tight for me less than a month ago, and they fit like a glove today!!!  DAMMMN!  What a feeling :)

Lately, I've seen numbers on the scale that I haven't seen in at least a year!!! :D  (and they are smaller numbers than I am used too!!!)

What a lazy weeekend... Didn't do much yesterday... bought a new iPod case. (that thing has cost me far too much money already, GEEZE!)

Today I'm going out shopping with Brandi and her beau, then out for a bite.  We have been missing each other every time she comes into town, so this time we are FOR SURE going to make it happen! :)

My EX (Tyler) called me tonight, asking if he could come pick up some meat he left in my freezer (:? I know it sounds like a likely story, but he honestly DOES have meat in my freezer, and he did need to come get it!!!) Anyways... while he was here he made mention of going to see the Calgary Roughnecks lacrosse game tonight... then asked if I wanted to go too!   HELLS YA!!! :P

After the game Tyler drove me home, and we called it a night.  (He and I are SO over... we broke up a year and a half ago, and now I can't even see what I originally saw in him. :? Funny how time can do that!)

My collegue came to my office this afternoon to apologize for her "moment of indisgression".  I really appreciate that she did, and I am having a much better afternoon because of it!  :)

YAY, it's FRIDAY!

OMG... life sux right now!

It's true, stress makes you loose weight.  I have noticibly lost weight since the beginning of the year... I even got the compliment "Jessica, you are loosing weight!  You look great!" yesterday, by a male collegue.  (Then he ran back to my office to clarify "Not that I've been checking you out, I just wanted to say you look nice!")  ... Geeze, what is the world coming to when male collegues can't even compliment their female counterparts without fearing a sexual harrasment case!  :roll:

And today, to add to the stress levels, my coworker decides to take today to FLIP out on me!  (I've heard she was a bit of a loose cannon, but never saw her in "all her glory" till today!)   Gah... now ANOTHER person I have to pussy foot around!!?? :?  I don't think so!  Suck it up, Buttercup!!!  Grrrr... she made me so upset, I didn't stop shaking till I got back to my office!  (The blow up happened in her office!)  It was UNCALLED FOR! :x How immature did that make ME feel!!??  I didn't stoop to her level by also getting irate, so I apologized and tried to calm her down.  It seemed to work, cause her demeanour changed almost as quickly as she got angry!  (Bi-Polar much???  Shiiiit.)

And now I just want to cry!  Blahhhhhhhhh

Well, since NO ONE can commit to participate in this years "24 hours of Adrenalin" race, Bryanne and I have decided to look into doing an Adventure race this summer!  I think it will be an awesome experience!  :)

I did it... I took my OLD mp3 player (well, by old I mean the one I had for a week :P ) back to Future Shop because it would only play music in ALPHABETICAL order!!!???  What the hell is up with that?  (At that rate, I'll NEVER get to Wil Smith :wink:) And in exchange I got an iPod Mini in green!

I have to understand their situations, and I accept that things don't always go MY way!

I do this bike race annually... I started in 2003.  It's called 24 Hours of Adrenaline.  My team (Boobs to the Tube) is a 5 person female team.  There is NO venue chosen yet this year (due to renovations occurring on the usual vwenue at the same time of year!!!)

How shitty is this?  The race is in July!!  It's already March and no race venue nailed down???!  :(  This sure does not leave us much time to plan for things, if it doesn't go ahead! 

Do I even want to ride in the race this year???  At this point, I'm a little uncertain about the whole thing, to be honest with you!  :(

Yes, it's Wednesday, how can you tell?

I went to the gym thinking "Alright!  It's TKO day today :)"  ...so I omitted to check who else was teaching the other classes... because I was thinking that I didn't teach today!!!  So I started the TKO class and as usual, it was tough!  We have one station where we run a flight of stairs (at least 6 floors) and it's grueling... on my way back up, I notice that the board (that states what classes are running throughout the day and who teaches them) says "12:05pm  Power Pace - Jessica"... (Uhh...that's me :shock:)

WHAT??? (Dippsss???? <-- Jenny that was for you!)

I was SURE I had this week free of teaching!!!??? :?  ACK....
But, being a resourceful and loyal fitness instructor, I ran around, borrowed a headset from one of the other instructors and ducked out of the rest of the TKO class to teach the bike class...  (It's a good thing too because no one else showed up to teach class but me! (I was POSITIVE that I got subs for all my classes!  STRANGE!)  
Just another reminder of how wacky my week has been so far...

Now I'm tired... Both mentally and physically.
Don't expect me on-line tonight, I'll be hitting the hay early :)

It's a gorgeous SUNNY day here in Calgary today!   I woke up early cause the sun told me it was time... "Get out of bed, lazy ass!" is what it was telling me.  So, I took one look outside and said "Perfect Bike Riding Weather!"  (and what a better opportunity to test out my new CREATIVE MP3 Player :D)

So, my first ride of the season... on March 6th!!!  WOW... I don't think I've pulled my bike out this early in the season EVER!!!  What a ride too!  I took off to Edworthy Park and rode up and down the paved switchback road :shock: ... UGH... hard work, but such good training.   I was out for a good hour and clocked 18km total. 
I feel really good about those stats :D

And I also tried out my new makeup on my bike ride :? (I know, you are probably thinking "What kind of person puts make-up on for a bike ride?"... well the answer is "ME!"  ha ha)
Anyways I bought this new eye liner called:
Fluidline from MAC COSMETICS 

and they claim that it won't rub, smudge or flake off... so I had to test it on my workout, cause that's the true test of a liner...  and DayyyuuuM, that stuff works like MAGIC!!!  I recommend it to anyone who's active or who simply doesn't want their liner to BUDGE!  It's a godsend for me cause I don't go anywhere without my liner on, but I find that it doesn't stay-put, especially once I start to sweat! (And I sweat A LOT!!!)  I bought the colors "Dipdown" (matte brown) and "Sweet Sage" (goldish khaki green). 
Did I ever tell you that Mac makeup is my weakness? :lol:

Tonight is going to be busy: hair appointment at 5pm, then meeting up with Bryanne maybe at 8:30ish... off to the Ranchmans (barf) at 9ish... meeting up with the other girls there.  Bryanne and I ditch around 10 :wink: he he, and head some place cool... or maybe even not cool, but someplace AWAY from the country vibe.  (Me NO likee.)

Bryanne and I get along really well, so I know as long as we're together it'll be GOOD TIMES!!!

I got a phone call at work yesterday from my hairdresser (Salena) she asked if we could post-pone my hair appointment till Friday :(  Booooo... I was SO looking forward to getting my hair did yesterday!  (Oh well... no big thang.)   So, now the plan is hair appointment at 5:00pm on Friday... then out on Friday night with Rita, Bryanne (two of my mountain biker friends) and a bunch of other single females!  :P  (I should be super stoked for this partay... but they want to go to The Ranchman's... which is a country bar.  And if you know ANYTHING about me, you know that country music is just NOT MY THING!!!! :x  (It actually makes me throw up a little in my mouth!)

On the work front, I have started taking on a more responsible role... I've started making interpretations on GAS CAPS and mapping the relative thickness throughout the formation :)  Yeee... (May sound like nothing to you, but to me it's like a HUGE step to bigger and better things for me!!!)

Hair appointment tonight... Ohhh, so excited :)

So, I booked an appointment for this Saturday at 1:00pm.  I've never had my eyebrows waxed (shaped) before... My sis says I need it BADLY!  I don't see the BIG deal. :? (See pic a few posts ago... what do you think?)

I have a friend who has recommended Electrolysis... any thoughts about that?  Sounds like a great alternative, if you can afford it!  $$$  (that's what BONUS money is for :P)
