My Dad came by this Saturday to help me fix my intermittent brake problem.  We managed to identify where the problem is, and flagged it with duct tape... (gotta love the duct tape) Hopefully now, anytime my breaks don't disengage my shifter, I'll just have to fiddle with the RED wires going into the GREY switch and I'll be laughing... if not, I have BIGGER problems.  :(

I have a hair appointment this coming week on Wednesday!  What should I get done?  I was thinking of redoing my highlights and a new base color (something warmer than my natural tone) and then a minor trim.  (I kinda like the length...)

My sister had her BABY!!!  It's a BOY!!!!

I'm back, FINALLY!!!  Did ya miss me?  awe... how sweet of you!  I missed you too.

Let me recount my version of the weekends events... I said MY version, because by the sounds of it (during our Sunday girl chat) we all remember and had very different accounts of the weekends events... eventhough we were all together. (well, not attached at the hip, but at least mostly in the same place at the same time)

So, Friday comes along,  and I was really excited for the road trip to Rossland!  (I thought the girlie time in the car (Me, Sarah and Kim) would be super fun!!!)  And it was!  Eventhough we were driving in very DARK conditions, the roads were clear as day!  No animals or snow to be seen!  What a relief!  (Driving through the mountains can be scary the best of times.  I'm glad mother nature was on our side :) )  We arrived in Rossland just after 12:30am Saturday morning... our friends, Rita, Erin, and Rita's cousin Tom, were almost passed out on the couch when we got there!  They stayed up with us for another few hours, and we all headed to bed.  We knew the BIG day was tomorrow! (BIG day of partying!!)

Saturday morning arrives and we made omlettes... they were fantastic!  I even tried crab meat in mine!  I enjoyed it!  (Mmmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about those omlettes!  They were excellent!!!)   After the meal, I proceeded to crack the first  "bevvie" (of the alcholoic persuasion)... can you feel the CRAZINESS?  Remember, it's still only 10 AM!!!!

Tom and Sarah made a trip to the good ol' liquor store (which didn't open till 10 AM), for some champagne for our Mimosas.  Yummmy!!!  We each had a couple of those... and I got a little excited, and cracked open the Miracle Mix I brought.  (Do you think I really should have started into that at 11AM???  No, me neither.  But as I said at the beginning of the weekend... It's all about sabbotage this weekend.  My diet was OUT THE WINDOW!!!)

Rita thought it'd be a good idea to take us on a lil' hike.  The fresh air did us well.  I was already getting tipsy, and I think her plan was really to get us away from BOOZE for a few hours!  (Really, a cunning plan!)  We toured around Rossland, it was a beautiful day... snowy, but the perfect temperature to just wander through the forest and the town.  We didn't go very far... just enough though... and back to Rita's for more drinky! :lol: Did I need any more?  Probably not... but did I care?  No!   All I had on my mind was sabbotage.  If I'm gonna go out, I might as well go out big, right?  (And let's face it, I haven't been at a drinking party with a bunch of girls for a very LONG time!!!  I needed this!!!)

So we all decide to semi get ready for the day (I think by this time it's only Noon!)  We all put on our "saying-est" t-shirts.  Erin's said "It's my lucky day".  Rita's said "Sweet".  Kim's said "Go Down".  Sarah's said "Save the Oompa Loompa's" (don't ask!) and mine said "Cherry Fabulous".  We were all about being matchy-matchy that day... we even all wore black yoga pants on our hike... Yup, we were drunk!!!

I can't even recall what we spent the afternoon doing... but I'm sure alcohol played a huge role in it :wink: We all decided to get ready for the bar at one point though... maybe 4pm?  So we all started whipping out our bar star clothes... Wooo Hooo... fashion show! I love it!  We all started doing our best (or worst?  I couldn't really tell at that point) model cat walk walks across Rita's living room floor...  this was hilarious to us!  I'm sure the house was a flurry of giggling girls at this point! :?   Yes, we were getting MORE drunk!

We proceeded, in our drunken state, to do our hair, make-up, and get pretty!  Rita crimped her hair, I think Sarah did too.  I did not... my outfit was not retro enough... come to think about it, I recall someone calling my shirt "high-class hooker" attaire... If I can recall correctly! :o  Not nice. (women can be SO damn catty!   GEEZE! :roll:)

Anyways, somehow I ended up playing fetch with the dog, for what I think was like AN HOUR all by myself, just me and Jake, the farm dog... I have like 15 pictures of this on my digital camera... I don't know why I was away from the group, but I was.  This dog is amazingly obedient, such a treat compared to Rita's great dane! (What a dumb dog... pretty, but so dumb! ... like some JOCKS I know, HA HA!)

Then I somehow creeped even further away from the party and passed out in the downstairs bedroom.  I was probably down there for a few hours... no one even noticed me gone, or even to come get me for supper.  :(  I woke up to camera flashes and people laughing at me... (It was 10:30pm)  Apparently it was funny to them that I passed out... :oops: well, since they wouldn't leave me alone, I decided to get up, and join the party... (I'm surprised I slept through all the NOISE!)

(OMG this entry is like a mini novel... or a short story, at the very least! :0 Not my typical fashion for a Blog... sorry to bore you all!)

So, I wake up... grab another drink :wink: and keep partying like it's 1999, like I never missed a beat!  Everyone was impressed with my resiliance!  (But really, I had a KILLER headache, but nothing that another drink couldn't cure!)

We proceeded to take the party to the bar... It was closer to 12PM now. We danced, drank some more... got ever more silly!  Ever more flirty!  I was being hit on by the slimyest guys of the group, of course... Ewwww.  Until about 1:30am, Rita introduces me to this guy Mike... a brother of  a friend of her's.  He seemed nice enough so I chatted him up... the usual crap "Where you from?", "How do you know Rita?", "Why are you in Rossland this weekend?"  He seemed like good people, so we played air hockey and I used him to keep the slimy creeps away.  (You know, the old "Hug me, and pretend you are my boyfriend" trick  :wink: )

We closed the bar down... walked back to Rita's (like 3 blocks) and continued to talk on the couch.  He was nice.  But I feel asleep when this guy started talking randomly to Mike about... oh Gah, I don't even remember!  I fell asleep again!!!  So, in the morning, I woke up with a kink in my neck, a slight headache and my clothes from last night still on!  I hate that gross feeling!  I jumped into Rita's bed... and fell asleep for a few more hours.

The rest of the day (Sunday) was a total write off.   We were all HUNG OVER to the max!  Kim slept till 3pm!!!  She was so wiped!!!  It was nice though, we took a car ride (not the best idea when you are already nausieated! :? ) to Nelson, and hung out in a coffee shop... we chatted about the nights events, and no two people's stories were the same!  It was funny how we were all together, yet all had our own little party's going on!

K... that's not it... but I'm tired.  No more typing for today.  Peace Out.  Hope you enjoyed the story.  Pics added tomorrow!

As most of you know, I'm heading to Rossland, BC this weekend for a girls visit with my really good friend Rita.

I'l be heading out there with two other girls, Sarah and Kim.

So, it sounds like my sister went to the hospital for her routine checkup last night (she's almost 9 months pregnant!!!) and they decided to keep her for "potential induction"!!!   YAY!!!  So, any day (minute?) now, I will be a Aunty for the SECOND time :) 

(She unfortunately is one of the women in the world that when she is preggers, she also becomes diabetic (gestational diabetes)... so it's really important that she is monitored the entire way through her pregnancy.)

I can't wait for my new Nephew!!! (yes, whe know it's a BOY :))

At my last orthodontist appointment, my ortho said that I had plaque build-up on my lower teeth... Ewwwwwwwwwww, I though.  I thought that white stuff was the glue that she used to adhere the brackets to my teeth :?  apparently not :(  So, right away I proceeded to  book an appointment for a scaling... because plaque can't be good!!!  :(  It's really hard to brush your teeth properly with a bunch of metal in your mouth!!!  Trust me!!!

My appointment is this noon hour... what a way to spend my free time, reclined in a dentists chair with my mouth open, having someone else making sure it's plaque-free in there!  Yee Haw! :wink:

I have never mentioned this before, but I work for an oil and gas company called EnCana Corporation... Click here to view My Company's Stocks! (remember, I am looking at the stocks on the TSE in Canadian funds... :D Even better!!!)

This is the highest price I've seen them in a long time!!!

I had a dream last night... a goooood dream at that! :wink:  I never remember my dreams anymore, but this one happened during my lucid state (My alarm went off at 7:30am and I actually crawled out of bed at 10:30am.)  I love dreams!!!  They can leave you feeling extremely content, can't they??? :lol:  Well, nothing beats the real thing, but if all I can have is a dream right now, I'll take it!  he he

Anyhoo... the sun is shining today, it looks beautiful out!  I think I will make a serious effort today to organize my computer room, and my files... with income tax time coming up!  I need to have all my ducks in a row, otherwise I'll have another unexpected surprise (OWE the government $1000, like last year :( ) I don't want that this year, Hell NO!!!!!

So, I'm off to get ready for a busy domestic chores kinda day!

Happy Friday Everyone!!!  Don't you just love the weekend?  I don't have much planned for this weekend though... I'm saving up my energy for next weekend (we get an extra day off on Monday :))  I'm heading to Rossland, B.C. to visit my really great friend Rita!

I can't wait for the road trip part either!  I am heading out with 3 other single women... I know all hell is going to break loose eventually! :P Ha ha!!!  There's going to be 4 Hot Single females in a spiffed out Jeep, all heading to the mountain town for a LONG weekend long of drinking , partying, dancing, being single girls... It'll be an all around "letting loose"  good time!!! 
I need this!!! :D

So, I think I will start packing for that this weekend.  Where should I start?  What should I bring? ... first thing's first... can't forget the Miracle Mix :wink:

 I have a new friend.  His name is Victor.  He lives in Milwaukee.  He's really awesome and I would love to meet him in real life... I'm pretty sure we will make that happen, it's only a matter of time... we are both pretty busy these days though.

He calls me every morning to hear my voice.... Aweeee.... and we always talk in the evening.  He's pretty special... oh, and did I mention he's uber smart as well as a model??? :? (I know, the combo is pretty unreal)  Well, it's the truth.  Here's a sneak peak at his picture...

This is the part of being sick that I hate.  The recovery process... I can never just get over a cold... they always linger for me!  Ughhh... hacking cough, phlemgy throat, and that taste in the back of your mouth.... EWWWW.... I just want to be BETTER already!!!

I'm having my afternoon tummy ache right now.  :( 
I always want to take a nap  at about this time (3:00pm) of day!

I get the feeling that I'm going to end up marrying a guy that is not local... the only one's that are interested in me are the one's from FAR away...

A case of "you always want what you can't have" ? or is there something to this feeling I have???

Having a boring day...doing the laundry, sending e-cards, bumming around...  I'm so lazy.  I should really have gone to COP today... Oh well.  Maybe tomorrow night!

Grrr.... I'm at my wits end with my car!  I've been having this same problem with it for over a year.  I have been able to "work around" it, but no more, it seems!  (The problem: Intermittently my shifter release does not engage, and I am left to MANUALLY override it... which unfortunately, disengages my brake lights... so, at least I can drive, but no one knows when I am stopping!!! :(  (Almost been rear ended a few times!  YIKES!)  Lucky for me, my Dad loves me :D and is concerned for my well being... so he has kindly accepted the task of doing the LEG work for me in tracking down the part that needs to be replaced.  (I actually took my car in over a year ago to the actual Nissan dealership, and they sent me away saying "Get new brake light blubs :)"  ...If it was ONLY that easy!!!

PS... I'm still sick :(

I thought it would be gone by now... but alas, this cold is a persistant SOB! :evil:

I woke up this morning sneezing and with a runny nose... does this mean it's on it's way out???

I have to teach a bike class today at noon.  I hope I don't make everyone there sick too!!!! :(
