David is coming... David is coming!  :D

I'm so excited!!!  I pick him up from the Calgary airport at 8:20 tonight (as long as there are no flight delays, or other technical issues)  I have been vibrating ever since he called to tell me he was coming... :)

And Rita is in town now!!!  YAY!  What an awesome weekend this is shaping into!!!  Can't wait to get all dolled up for the party tomorrow!  I love to play dress up!

Why is my life such a roller coaster?  One day I feel like no one cares, the next day, when I make a move to actually DO something I want to do, I am alienating someone :(  It ALWAYS seems to happen this way... and it ALWAYS seems to be a situation with a boy... this boy's name is DAVID!

ASIDE: Some days I feel like my life is pointless.  I don't have a purpose; and no motivation to do ANYTHING substantial with my life except FIND A MAN!!!  It's completely retarded! :? 
I can spend hours on-line CHATTING... and completely forget about the necessities of life, like, for instance, eating! :shock: I KNOW!!!  EATING!  I completely disregard my own body, inorder for some "good chat" with some random stranger (or a close friend) (you MSN and Yahoo chat junkies, you know who you are :wink: ... I know you've been there too!!!) because when I come home I have NOTHING!  No one to talk to, no one to ask "How was your day?" or "How are you feeling?"  I often wonder "Is this really how I'm gonna spend the rest of "MY LIFE"?"  It's pretty pathetic if it is!  I think, something's gotta give, something's gotta change.  I need some SPICE back in my life!  And I need it NOW!!!

So, as I was saying, David and I had a bit of a thing this summer... but mutually ended it in October because we couldn't find a solution for our long distance problem.  (He lives in Vancouver, you see.)  So, we both have been trying our best to forget about each other... and I thought I wasn't doing all that bad... until he phoned me one night! :o (kinda like the way an ex girlfriend gets drunk and calls her ex boyfriend, except HE called me!)  I lept for the phone and talked to him for at least a half an hour... it felt so refreshing to hear him again, and to know that he really missed me.  And the feelings came rushing back. :roll: I know, I know... I'm a sucker if I go back... right?

:lol:... well, I managed to get him a ticket to my corporate Christmas Party this weekend... And he is booked on a plane to come see me on Friday night! :P Spur of the moment :?  Yeah, this weekend has been planned in true David fashion. 

I've been as giddy as a school girl, ever since these plans started to take shape!  I have been looking forward to seeing him again, but had NO IDEA it would be this soon!!!  I had planned on taking a friend (Rita) to the party as my date, and I still want her there, but with the news that David is coming... I want to bring 2 dates :D  So, I sweet talk a friend (who decided at the last minute to go "stag") to toss his spare ticket my way so David can come.  He obliged... but now Rita is a bit pissed with me because she feels pawned off, because now I have a MALE date, and she's chop liver.

I came across this website in my search for some Glamour Hair to go with my new Party Dress... And look, my shoes are located under the 1950's which totally goes with my 50's feel dress!  Woo Hoo... no wonder they feel so right together... THEY ARE :)

This is the HOT little dress I found to wear for my Christmas Party... It is absolutely PERFECT and fits like it was made for ME!  And the shoes... Ah... they are the finishing touch... I love the entire ensemble!

Well, I was assuming the worse with getting my braces tightened.  I figured I'd be in such pain (like at first) that I wouldn't be able to eat regular food for many weeks.  Well, one day has passed and I feel great! :)  My teefs are no longer sore  and I can basically eat like I did before the tightening.  :D  Yay!!!  (I was worried because our corporate christmas party is in one week, and the food there is ALWAYS amazing!!!)

So, my big dilemna now though is WHAT TO WEAR to the party?  Just like my sister is having clothing issues, I too am having a fashion freakout of my own! 

Any ideas???  Please help!!!

Tonight was my first appointment after getting my braces on to get them tightened (whatever that means!!!) ... I was expecting torture... but no.  Nothing really.  My orthodontist just opened up my brackets, changed my top wire, closed the brackets back up, and attached these little rubber bands on the little hooks she put in.  I am gonna close up my gaps now :D  YAY... no more gaping holes!  Woo hoo!  I think the next 2.5 months we'll see even MORE movement.  (Hopefully not 1 month of pain like the first 2.5 months though...)

I Love it, love it, love it!  {kick, kick, kick}

My weekend was fun! My girls, Raeleen and Starla were both in town... we started off Saturday night with 3 (or was it 4?) bottles of wine! And we were having a blast! My other friend Rita (you know, the one that moved to BC) well, she also came into town and wanted me (and my friends) to come see her at this pub.
...So off we went.
   We didn't really want to because we were having so much fun with the wine, but thought what the hell. It was OK at the pub... there was a whole group of people I knew, so it was pretty cool that way... but we only got settled in and everyone starts leaving... they all took off to another pub. What the hell? :? So we end up getting ditched by everyone... and somehow ended up walking half way around DT Calgary looking for my friends! :evil: SCREW THAT! We decided to tell the two guys we were with that if they came back to my place we'd play strip poker with them... tee hee hee... little white lie there! :wink:
   We ended up back at my house (Starla, Rae, me and Brian and Jason from my work)... I pulled out the "Twister" game (thanks Purse Junkie... I finally pulled it out! And had enough friends to actually play it! YAY!) And we had a RIOT! I have to post pictures! (once we got sick of Twister... we finished off the night with some good old fashioned Indian Leg wrestling matches... (Jenny, do you believe Raeleen was the reighning champion??? HA HA)

My best friend is in town this week... she has been a little shopping deprived... for the past year she has only shopped at Walmart and Saan... poor thing! So, our goal for this week was to get some REAL shopping out of her system. WOW... It sure has been exhausting shopping every day this week!!!

I think tonight we are having a mellow ladies night kinda thing at my place (you know: wine, midnight lunch, chick flicks, and gossip! Can't wait!!!) I might have to make an appearance at the bar however, as one of my friends who recently moved to BC came into town for another friend's birthday party... She would be upset if she never got to see me.

...on the date front, still none. :( I did get a phone call from a guy last night to go biking today, but I have all this company this weekend, it was just bad timing, I asked for a raincheck. We are supposed to go climbing this week sometime... that should be fun!

So, for the past 2 evenings, my best friend Raeleen and I have gone out shopping. Monday night we found NOTHING :( I hate walking around a mall for a couple hours and finding nothing I want! So yesterday, I said "We HAVE to go to Winners" (It's like a bunch of stores in one.) I made quite the haul! I got new pants, a couple new work tops, some cute work out capris, and a really pretty green sweater. I'll take some pictures to show too... I've just been so busy, not time for the camera :wink:

Anyone else do any shopping lately? Do tell!

Dad's eye is getting better! :) He seems in good spirits! And was resting a lot... which is good... My Dad is usually go, go, go!!!

The drive home from Leduc was a bit sketchy, lots of snow on the roads, and cars in the ditch... glad I made it home in one peice.

Had a date last night with a guy named Pete... (later found out he's french and his real name is Pierre) He was cute... and my type (active) but... once he confessed about his more than half a dozen concussions ... I started to question him. "How are you still here, without being a vegtable???" :?
So, yeah... not really hoping for a long term thing outta this... he sounds very self absorbed and really focused on his career right now.

I need more attention than he could give me... it sounds like.

My Dad (squirrely.tblog.com) had to go in for some day surgery yesterday. Turns out he has had a detatched retina for a while and never noticed!!! :shock: He get's to come home from the hospital today, and I am a little worried.  So I am making a trip up to Edmonton to see how he's doing, and give him a big 'ol hug from his daughter!!! Awe.... that should speed up the healing process, don't you think?
