Recupe Time
And I think I have... I took yesterday off work, just so I could stay off my feel long enough to give my achilles time to heal. And it seems to have paid off, today they feel great! :D I think I'll try to get to the gym on Friday... do some cardio, as much as the legs will allow. For now, I am going to do some arms, and abs... nothing involving the legs. I'll let you know how that goes.

My Aching Achilles!
Well, I attempted to be a roadie this weekend... unfortunately with not 100% success. I think my bike positioning needed adjusting, because I ended up pulling both of my achilles tendons... :(

With the weather forecasted this weekend, I have to pack A LOT of different gear... from a winter coat to scuba gear! (Snow, turning into rain!!?? :?) I love an adventure, so should be a good one! We ride from Castle Mountain (BC, Canada) to Radium to Golden and back to Castle Mountain... should be interesting (that's over 100k per day!) Good thing I am fit, or I'd be scared!!!
Wish me luck... I hope I recuperate relatively fast...
Anyone want to offer their services and provide me with a massage on Monday night?:wink: I will definitely need one!!!

Beaded Rings - Japanese Style
Last week I taught my first Beaded Ring class at a local bead store here in Calgary. I had 8 people attend (full class!!! Woo Hoo!) They at first didn't really know what to think... we use fishing line instead of thread for these projects. I think everyone caught on very fast though... we were almost completely finished the project in 1 hour! That's awesome!!!
Here's a sample of my latest handy work. I would have never in a million years chosen this color combo - Suzin, the bead lady did. Actually, I think it looks quite eye catching... What do you think?

Great weather means no time to BLOG :(
The weather has been wonderful for the past 3 days, I have been wearing my summer skirts to work again! :D
To update ya'll on my reunion, it went good... was a little disappointed at how early everone left though. I guess that's what happens once you have kids, you become old. :wink: Well, I am in no shape to start a family (let's start with the boyfriend first, k?) It's funny though, how 10 years have gone by some things change, but almost everything stayed the same!!! It was like some of my friends never left high school... (only thing is everyone had gained weight!) ... I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I looked good!

10 year Reunion
Can hardly believe it will be 10 years since I graduated from high school... this weekend marks the 10 year anniversary of our graduation cerimony. So, to mark the occassion, the my old clic want to get together and reminisce and just find out what everyone is up to. We're going to Julio's Barrio... "where they have margaritas the size of your head"... according to my friend Jer. Could be an interesting night.

I was just surfing on my good 'ol dating website, when suddenly I see my "relationship" blinker flashing (meaning someone from the relationship section wants to talk to me) ... typically I only get geeks, and loosers (or OLDER men) trying to talk to me there, so I didn't get too excited... until I opened his profile! WOW... he's really hot! Only one drawback for me... he lives in Florida :( Boooo... I guess that doesn't stop us from chatting, but DAMN... I'd love to meet this guy! I'd post his picture, but would that be invading his privacy? I mean, he already has posted his picture on an internet dating site.

I'm lovin' it!
The Salt mine is a figure of speech for "work"... so, yeah, today is "back to work" :( Not really sad about that actually... I love my routine. I only exercised ONCE the entire week I was away... and I ate total crap... and I still had someone say to me today "You are loosing weight!!!" :? How flattered was I? But of course, the modest, honest girl I am... I reply "It's just this shirt... it is slimming."

My sister http://islandartist.tblog.com... and I trid to add a custom template to my blog.. so for a couple days my blog was all messed up... and now I'm back to the old view. :( We couldn't get the template to work perfectly... I guess we need to read up on our html! (I speak for myself :oops: ... I have a very basic knowledge of it!)
Loving my week off! Weather is a bit overcast and cold, but can't complain. Week's off are fan-tas-great :D

Gem at the Rock Show!
Today was the annual Lapidary Rock and Gem Show in Hillhurst... the weekend we all have been waiting for! The day that cheap beads come to town! :P Pathetic I know... I even bought a 2 day pass! :? Today was my "scoping out" day... tomorrow is the "purchasing" day. Wish me (and my credit card) luck! :wink:
